GAME DAY RECAP: October 18, 2025

Rothesay Netherwood School (0) vs Stanstead College (2) East U18 Prep

Rothesay Netherwood School had won their first four games of the season before a pair of losses to close out September preempted the long break prior to their game against Bishop’s College School on Friday night. One of those two losses for Rothesay came against Stanstead College at the end of September, a team who, in contrast to Rothesay, have had a very busy October thus far, but plays just once this weekend. Stanstead had won seven straight to start their season before their perfect start was snapped by Ulysse Academie last Friday, including a 3-1 win over Rothesay earlier this season. For nearly 58 minutes of action, both Rothesay’s Cesare Della Santina (37/38) and Stanstead’s Andrew Shimon (28/28) remained impeccable, but eventually, Stanstead would find the breakthrough. Rimouski Oceanic prospect Tanner Hayden had a relatively slow start to his goal-scoring season, with only two goals in his first seven games to start. Hayden scored last weekend against Ulysse Academie and provided Stanstead the breakthrough on a third-period power play. Hayden would hit the empty net not long after to seal Stanstead’s win.

OHA Edmonton (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) U15

The OHA Edmonton U15 contingent prevailed in two of their first three games of the season, winning a pair of tight contests against Edge School, but RHA Winnipeg’s season has seen even more dominance. The red-hot play that’s yielded them an 8-1-0 record only continued into Saturday, and although OHA Edmonton never gave up their offensive pressure, the ruthless goal-scoring ability of RHAW gave them a first-period lead they’d never look back from. Max Manaigre (1G, 1A) scored to give RHAW the lead early, and from there, Brantley Church (1G, 1A) and Cooper Greenham added to the lead from there. Max Holland scored for OHAE, but it was the only puck that got behind Cooper Beardy, who made 35 stops for the win.

Edge School (3) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep

Edge School’s U18 Prep squad had split their first four games in two wins and two losses heading into this weekend’s set of games. The first half of their weekend in Manitoba saw them prevail 4-1 over RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg. Pilot Mound Hockey Academy fell at the hands of South Alberta Hockey Academy yesterday in a 4-2 contest, with the silver lining being a pair of Cole Landreville goals. The beat went on for Landreville come Saturday, popping up big with a pair of powerplay goals.  His first tied the game at one in the first, before he provided Knox Burton (1G, 1A) with an assist for a second-period go-ahead goal. Landreville ended the game with three points, but ultimately, it wasn’t Landreville who earned the first-star honours; PMHA goaltender Adam Courchesne, who played 25 games with Edge School’s U17 Prep squad last season, made a whopping 53 saves on 56 Edge School shots. PMHA’s mere 15 shots were enough to earn them the win thanks to Collin Friedrich (1G, 1A), Landreville, and Burton’s offensive contributions, and of course, Courchesne’s performance in between the pipes.

North Shore Warriors (3) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (7) U17

The second of back-to-back games between the U17 squads of the North Shore Warriors and Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy followed an overtime thriller on Friday that saw CDA come from behind to prevail 2-1. Saturday’s game was a little bit more straightforward of a victory for CDA, even if it looked a little chaotic in the first period. Although North Shore opened the scoring, CDA escaped the first with a 3-2 lead, only building on it from there. Logan Madrid, who scored the overtime winner yesterday, was one of six CDA players with multi-point nights, as the three goals in the third period helped Coeur d’Alene pull away from North Shore to prevail 7-3.

Edge School (4/OT) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) U15 Prep

The lone hiccup in Edge School’s U15 Prep schedule came against RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, but the most eventful game on their schedule thus far was their first of the season against Calgary International Hockey Academy. Edge prevailed 9-7 in quite the barn burner. Since then, CIHA’s season has followed the pattern established by the nature of game one; they’ve all been incredibly high scoring. CIHA hadn’t yet failed to score five or more goals in a game in the U15 Prep division, but despite that, a propensity to concede a similarly high number of goals saw CIHA start the season with three consecutive losses. Although they’d still like to reduce the number of goals conceded, CIHA had bounced back with five straight wins heading into their second game of the year against Edge. The game was very tightly fought and followed a repetitive theme. At three separate points, CIHA took a lead, but each time, Edge fought back, scoring three separate tying goals. Despite never leading in the span of the 60-minute game, Edge School found the overtime winner a mere 28 seconds into the extra frame. Luke Booker came into the game having scored a point in each of their previous five, but didn’t pop up on Saturday until the most crucial moment, scoring the overtime winner for Edge. Caden Stanley’s 24 saves on 27 shots in the game made Edge the first U15 Prep team this season to hold CIHA to less than five goals scored.

North Shore Warriors (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (8) U15

Following three straight losses to start the season for the North Shore Warriors’ U15 squad, they bounced back with a victory in their most recent game. Yale Hockey Academy’s weekend started with a 7-4 victory against Delta Hockey Academy Black, helping them extend their streak to five straight wins to start the season. Come Saturday, Yale’s effort to earn a sixth straight victory paid immediate dividends, and after a three-goal first period, they wouldn’t cease their domination. The three-period total saw Yale outshoot North Shore 54-17, with David Littman (2G, 2A) and Ben Beggs’ (2G, 2A) four points apiece leading Yale to the blowout win.

South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) U18 Prep

The second of two games in Manitoba this weekend for South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep team came Sunday against RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg. SAHA was coming off Friday’s 4-2 win against Pilot Mound Hockey Academy, while RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg fell 4-1 in their weekend opener against Edge School. The trends for both teams continued into Saturday, with SAHA springing out in front. A pair of first-period goals preceded two early in the second, and, shy of even the halfway mark of the second period, they had opened a 4-0 lead. Carson Ward’s pair of goals led the way for SAHA to leave the weekend with two victories in two games.

Delta Hockey Academy Green (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna Female (1) U18 Prep

The first of the two back-to-back games between Delta Hockey Academy Green and RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna in the Female U18 Prep division on Friday night saw RHAK prevail in a shootout, and come Saturday, the next game was similarly tight-fought. Kennedy Sisson scored twice in the game and once in the shootout to lead the way for RHAK yesterday, and would be the crucial turning point again Saturday. Sisson scored the game’s only goal in the second period, and although DHAG would fight to score themselves throughout, they couldn’t make good on the 27 shots they sent on RHAK’s goal. Julianne Hendricks stopped all 27 for the victory.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (3) U17

Both Delta Hockey Academy and RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U17 seasons have had a very heavy workload to start the season, with Saturday already being Delta’s thirteenth and RHAK’s tenth game in less than one month. RHAK had a pair of matchups with the Delta Hockey Academy back in September, with the two teams splitting the weekend back-to-back, winning one game apiece. Since their slow start to the season, RHAK had won three of their last four games prior to Saturday, while Delta Hockey Academy’s red-hot start had seen them lose just two of their opening twelve games, one of which to RHAK. The first 70 seconds of the game seemed to indicate DHA’s loss to RHAK was an occurrence well on its way to recurring. Kolby Lutz and Xavier Corten both scored for RHA Kelowna early, and from there, it was up to Delta to mount a comeback. They’d score a goal at the start and at the end of the second period, with Victor Lee (1G, 1A) tying the game with under four minutes left in the second. The game remained 2-2 into the back half of the third period, when finally, Graeme Burke scored DHA’s go-ahead goal. After conceding twice in the first minute and ten seconds of the game, Lucas Disiewich would save the rest of the 41 shots RHAK threw on net.

Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (11) U15 Prep

Shawnigan Lake School’s first game of the season ended in a big loss, one they had to stew on for nearly two weeks prior to Friday’s 4-3 shootout loss against STAR Hockey Academy. Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep workload has been more significant than Shawnigan’s, having played five prior to Saturday, winning all of them. Yale had scored a whopping 42 goals in their four games prior to Saturday’s against Shawnigan, and unfortunately for SLS, the offensive output from Yale continued. YHA put the game out of Shawnigan’s reach within the first eleven minutes of the first period. Parker McMillan (2G, 2A) continued his red-hot start to the season with two early first-period goals, starting the ball rolling from there for Yale. They’d post five in the first, with Marcus Phillips (2G, 2A) and Mason Cumiskey (1G, 3A) joining McMillan in four-point games, helping Yale to an eventual 11-1 win.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) U15 Prep

Heading into Saturday, Pilot Mount Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep squad was, unfortunately, still in search of their first victory of the season. RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg and PMHA played a tightly-fought game on Wednesday night, with RHAW prevailing 3-2, but PMHA’s performance was one of their best all season. Saturday’s game was tied for one minute and fifty-two seconds. That’s how long it took for Easton Pitz to open the scoring for RHA Winnipeg, and from there, Pilot Mound were simply chasing the game. David Ring (2G) extended the lead to 2-0 before the end of the first, and while PMHA would keep scoring in their attempt at a comeback, RHAW would as well. By the time the final buzzer sounded, RHA Winnipeg prevailed by a 6-3 scoreline, with Pitz’s pair and Nicholas Buhay’s 24 saves leading the way to victory.

Ontario Hockey Academy (1) vs Bishop’s College School (5) East U17 Prep

Bishop’s College School prevailed 2-0 in the first game of the season between these two teams, on the first Friday of October, and wouldn’t stop rolling forward. Bishop’s had won all three heading into Saturday, and wouldn’t see their momentum hindered from there. Teo Lamarche scored twice for Bishop’s, and Dax Doiron would only let one puck behind him to help Bishop’s to a 5-1 win.

Yale Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) U17 Prep

Saturday’s game between Yale Hockey Academy and RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna’s U17 Prep teams was a lot closer than the scoreline would suggest. After all, the two teams proved how even they were on Friday night, with RHAK prevailing 3-2 in a shootout, their third straight win to start the season. After winning game one, Yale dropped four straight, making a win this weekend crucial to bounce back. Yale’s Nicholas Voinea wouldn’t just open the scoring, he’d add a second early in the second period, and by the halfway point, YHA led 4-0. However, the margin of that lead was only maintained by Yale’s Coby Kidwell’s performance in between the pipes. His workload only grew as the game went on, but he’d make 17 saves in the second period and 32 in the game to help Yale’s victory be by a comfortable margin.

Shawnigan Lake School (7) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (2) Female U18 Prep

Following a 1-0 overtime victory over Okanagan Hockey Academy last night, Shawnigan Lake School’s Saturday night game against Okanagan Hockey Academy Black was more straightforward and less stressful a victory. Tess McGee scored a hat-trick and Ziah Dennis (2G, 2A) cashed in with four points for SLS, both players scoring in the first period in the first for SLS. OHAB managed to fight back from a 2-0 deficit in the first period, tying the game at two, but could only keep the game tied for 15 seconds before Shawnigan would pull away again, this time for good, using the last forty minutes to extend the lead to 7-2.

Ontario Hockey Academy (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (1) East U18 Prep

Heading into their matchup against Ontario Hockey Academy, Okanagan Hockey Ontario had lost five straight games after they won their opening game, while Ontario Hockey Academy had bounced back in the East U18 Prep division, following three straight losses with back-to-back wins over Fort Erie International Academy. Through the first two periods, the two teams had played an incredibly tight game, with nothing to separate them through forty minutes. 66 seconds into the third period, Vincenzo Mikhael Sanico Potvin scored his first of two goals, and from there, it was Ontario Hockey Academy’s game. They’d score three more from there, winning 5-1. This wasn’t just thanks to their offence, with Kyle Johnson making 23 saves on 24 shots.

BWC Academy (5) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep

BWC Academy’s U17 Prep season wasn’t off to an optimal start heading into their Saturday game against the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy. They followed up back-to-back losses against STAR Hockey Academy with a shootout win over Yale Hockey Academy, but one they’d likely not be entirely happy with, having conceded seven goals. With BWC motivated to churn out their best game of the season so far, Wenatchee didn’t have much of a pushback. BWC hit the Wenatchee net with 57 shots in all, with Coen Hlady’s goal and two assists leading the way. Wenatchee added a couple of late goals, but couldn’t ultimately get close, with BWC prevailing 5-2.

Delta Hockey Academy Black (0) vs North Shore Warriors (2) Female U18 Prep

Delta Hockey Academy Black and the North Shore Warriors in the Female U18 Prep division play each other three times between Friday and next Saturday, with North Shore prevailing in the first of those three last night, winning 2-0. Last night’s win for North Shore came by virtue of Emma Ward’s 32-save shutout. Emma Ward would only one-up that performance Saturday, as, despite being outshot 34-21, North Shore would win 2-0 for the second consecutive game. Ward’s 34 saves gave her a second consecutive shutout. Now through five games, Ward has a dazzling stat line, posting a 0.79 goals against average and .973 save percentage.

STAR Hockey Academy (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (10) U15 Prep

The first U15 Prep game of STAR Hockey Academy’s season started in a thrilling shootout victory last night, but unfortunately for them, Delta Hockey Academy’s offence had been red-hot heading into Saturday. Through two games, Delta had scored a combined 20 goals in back-to-back wins over Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. That goals-per-game ratio would actually continue into Saturday for Delta, with 17 of their 18 skaters cashing in with points in the 10-2 win. Delta look like early contenders to be one of the best in the U15 Prep division this season, looking ahead to tomorrow’s clash with BWC to continue their flawless record so far.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) vs STAR Hockey Academy (2) U15

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy’s U15 team had a difficult start to the season, losing three straight to start, before bouncing back with a 7-1 win over RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. STAR’s U15 season hadn’t yet hit the ice for game action this season, with Saturday’s clash with PCHA marking their season opener. Mason Layher opened the scoring for STAR, but from there, it was all PCHA. Koen Nicholas scored twice and Austin Murray cashed in with three assists to lead PCHA to the 5-2 victory. The two teams play a rematch Sunday morning.

St. George’s School (5) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) U15 Prep

St. George’s ran off on an early break after Liam Hussey and Luca Rogers (1G, 1A) scored back-to-back in quick succession. Theo Wesik (1G, 1A) would cram home a rebound to extend the Saints’ lead to 3-0 before the ice clean. Bingo Zhao would open the scoring early in the second on a powerplay off a sweet feed from Jayden Ni (4A). To close the second, Hudson Lesk would strike shorthanded, building up the Saints’ lead to a staggering 5-0. Brayden Lindsay would break Hudson Waddell’s (14/15) shutout with his team leading sixth, softening the blow in a 5-1 loss to St. George’s.

STAR Hockey Academy (3/SO) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep

STAR took off with the lone goal in the first period as Tyler Gillespie deflected in a point shot from Sean McIntyre. In the second, Tommy Ogee would double STAR’s advantage after his point shot snuck through the five-hole of Tyson Kuiack (24/26). Rylan Bengert would cut OHA’s deficit to one before the end of the frame, proving to be vital as Beckham Taggart would tie this contest up in the third, forcing overtime. OT would see its fair share of 2-on-1s but neither OHA or STAR would connect, leaving a shootout to find our victor. Griffin Fair (22/24) would stone OHA’s first two shooters before Adrian Afrakov came in slow, twirling his stick before rifling one past Kuiack. Fair would go on to stop Bengert in the final frame, stopping all three OHA shooters, stealing the extra point for STAR.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs Shawnigan Lake School (4/OT) U17 Prep

PCHA and Shawnigan would split the scoring in the first before Bryce Todd broke the deadlock in the second, sniping one top right off a quick rush, giving Shawnigan a 2-1 lead. Matthew Morris (1G, 1A) would add to Shawnigan’s advantage in the early stages of the third, jamming in a loose puck in tight. However, the Sea Devils would claw back with two quick goals off the sticks of Kaelen Rusjan and Kyle Rushton. The score would stand at 3-3 after regulation leading to overtime where Darwin Ketch broke his way through the Sea Devils backline before wiring one shortside, sending Charlie Purdey Arena into elation as Ketch’s fellow teammates and students rushed to celebrate the overtime victory.

BWC Academy (6) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep

Charlie Robinson (3G) led the offensive charge for BWC Academy in a routine win over Wenatchee. Robinson would secure three of BWC Academy’s first four goals, polishing off his hat-trick on a nice three-way passing play with Kayden Pratt (2A) and Logan Lepinski (4A). Dominic Seminoff (1G, 2A) would capture BWC Academy’s fifth goal right before the end of the second. In the third, Kadyn O’Brien would turn on the jets for a highlight reel marker to pot BWC Academy’s final goal of the game. Liam Craggan would spoil the shutout bid for Josh Wu (19/20) in the late stages of the third, scoring Wenatchee’s lone goal in the loss.

RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (0) vs BWC Academy (10) U15

A Cooper McBridge (3G) hat-trick was the big performance in a 10-0 outburst from BWC Academy. Logan Hooper (1G, 3A) would command the production from the backend, picking up four points on the evening while Mars Zhang (1G, 2A) and Owen Chapman (1G, 2A) each secured three points. Alex Iaichkin (2G, 2A) would also acquire four points, including a highlight reel goal off a feed from Chapman. William Houle (29/29) made 29 saves for the shutout, backing BWC Academy to their sixth win of the season.

Delta Hockey Academy Black (6) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) U15

Kevin Goodale would strike first for Delta Black a mere 55 seconds into play, capitalizing off a poor change before rifling one far side. Dean Jones (1G, 1A) and Bentley Gillis (1G, 1A) would put away Delta Black’s next two shortly after. Aden Bancarz got CDA on the scoresheet later in the frame but his efforts were quickly erased by Lukas Kravcak (1G, 1A) scoring under a minute later. CDA would start the second off hot after TJ Podollan (1G, 1A) scored a beautiful backhander shorthanded. Blake Horn would wire CDA’s third of the night soon after, forcing Delta Black to reassess their strategy. Ultimately, Delta Black would hold on after Wynn Carey put away his own shorthanded goal before the end of the second. Zach Giles (1G, 1A) would bury the empty netter in the third, spoiling CDA’s comeback attempt.

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs STAR Hockey Academy (5) U17

Deacon Wilson would score on a breakaway 38 seconds in to give STAR the early lead and lone goal of the first. Graham Gerritz (1G, 1A) and Ronin Brunner would add another two in the second, extending STAR’s lead to 3-0. However, Trent Porter (1G, 1A) would score soon after, giving PCHA some life at the halfway point of this contest. Jackson Squire (2G, 1A) would continue to up PCHA’s hopes, banging home his own rebound to cut the Sea Devils deficit to one. However, a shorthanded effort from Kyle Schierling would restore STAR’s two goal advantage. Squire would bang home another in the late stages but an empty netter from Kuhio Carl sealed the win for STAR Hockey Academy.

Delta Hockey Academy White (6) vs St. George’s School (2) U15

The Chatha twins, Jaiven (2G, 2A) and Sajan (2G, 2A) put on some ‘Sedinery’ esque magic to kick off this contest, scoring four goals for Delta Black in the opening half of the first period! Grayson Sears (1G, 1A) would add Delta Black’s fifth and final goal of the first, capping off a strong opening frame. Ryan Romano added a sixth for Delta Black to start the second before Alan Qiu (1G, 1A) scored a beauty to put his Saints on the scoresheet. Minsoo Lee (1G, 1A) would roof one shortside in the third for St. George’s softening the blow in a 6-2 loss. Tyler Rydberg (14/16) was credited with the win for Delta Black, stopping 14 shots in the victory.

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (7) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (1) U17 Prep

Saturday’s Featured Matchup carried lots of action at both ends of the ice in front of a busy crowd at Agri Place in Saskatoon, SK. Maddox Ramage (1G, 2A) would open the scoring with a tight move in close, sliding one through the wickets of Holden Fauchon (32/37). A couple minutes later, Ason Apesis would take advantage of a poor line change, scoring his first of the season on a nifty breakaway to put the Eagles on the board. ISA poured on some pressure following Apesis’ tally, but an unlucky bounce early in the second restored the Buffaloes’ one goal lead. Pilot Mound would go on to pile four unanswered in the second, capped off by Adam Zamecnik (1G, 2A). Despite the four goal turn, Fauchon would make a massive desperation save in the second, one that will surely see the likes of the CSSHL Top 10 later next week! ISA had their fair share of chances in the third but just couldn’t find a way past Penticton Vees prospect Gavin Hildebrand (30/31). Hildebrand would go on to make 30 saves in a 7-1 win.

St. George’s School (5) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep

The first period may have been uneventful, thankfully the next two thirds of this contest were anything but. Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (1G, 3A) would make way for the scoring in the second, burying his third of the season to put the Saints up 1-0. However, PCHA would come back swinging. Elliott Hill (2G) would score the Sea Devils next two goals before Cayson Lambert wired home their third to establish a 3-1 lead in a matter of minutes. Jason Gao (1G, 2A) would get one back for St. George’s before the end of the frame. Into the third, Noah Fowler (2G, 2A) would rip home the game tying goal, sparking some life for St. George’s. 2025 WHL Draft second overall pick Holden Wouters would score soon after on a nifty move in tight, giving the Saints their first lead since the early stages of the second. Treytin Frizzell would immediately strike back for PCHA, tying things up just under two minutes later. However, the quick responses would keep on coming as Fowler tapped home his second of the night to put St. George’s back in front. But once again, the Sea Devils would prevail. Cooper Hartsook’s point shot would find twine, tying this contest up once again in the late stages of play. Then just over three minutes later, Kane Nicholas (4A) would spot Brayden Barker making a b-line to the net. Nicholas would make a sweet dish over to Barker, leading to a shot that barely trickled over the line. Barker’s goal would stand as the game winner in an absolute nail biter against St. George’s.

OHA Edmonton (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) U18 Prep

Brandon Wheat Kings prospect Ahmad Fayad (1G, 1A) would strike first for NAX, giving them the 1-0 edge over OHA Edmonton through the opening twenty. The second would also remain quiet, but a David Lu goal would tie things up for OHA Edmonton heading into the third. In the early stages of the final frame, a beautiful shorthanded tally from Brayden Tucker spearheaded OHA Edmonton into the lead. However, Easton Doran would poke home the equalizer later in the period. Overtime was looking likely, but a jam play from Ben Shaw would find its way through the NAX paint, putting OHA Edmonton in front and eventually claiming the victory. OHA Edmonton’s win comes after falling 9-2 to NAX on Friday, proving to be a huge win heading forward in the young season.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (1) U15 Prep

NAX kept their offensive firepower alive against the South Alberta Hockey Academy, potting another seven, giving them 30 goals on the weekend. Rylan Edwards (2G) netted a pair for the Xtreme while Emmett Abel (3A) snagged three helpers. Danel Ramazanov, Keatyn Devlin, Liam Bordt and Jett Evans each snagged a goal and an assist in the victory, Nash Davis would score the lone goal for SAHA.

Delta Hockey Academy (7) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (0) U17 Prep

Only two Delta skaters missed out on the scoresheet in a touchdown performance against Coeur D’Alene. Colton Brum (2G) led the charge with a pair of goals including the eventual game winner while five other skaters recorded two point outings. Quinn Coupland (19/19) recorded his first shutout of the season in the process.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (6) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U15 Prep

Quinn Herman (2G) had the hot stick early, nabbing the Warriors a powerplay goal to open the scoring under three minutes into play. However, Cohen Short (2G, 1A) would rip home a powerplay marker of his own to ignite OHA’s scoring. Camden Garnett would restore North Shore’s lead later in the frame but their lead was cut short once again by Short as he buried his second of the first period. Into the second frame, Jake Gates and Mason Liebel (2G) would strike back-to-back to give OHA their first lead of the match. Herman would bury his second soon after to cut the deficit to one but a late powerplay marker from Levi Thiessen (1G, 2A) would keep OHA ahead by two. Liebel would score an early empty netter to seal this one in the third despite a late goal from Nicholas Sheldon. Nathan Bazley (38/42) picked up the win in net, steering 38 shots aside.
